Can you remove colourful body ink with Laser Tattoo Removal?
Colourful Body Ink
You will occasionally come across colourful ink, and as mentioned previously, it is often very difficult to remove. One colour in particular that is extremely problematic to remove is red. Targeting red tattoo ink can potentially cause keloid scars. Certain red tattoo pigments, especially those containing mercury sulfide, can trigger an inflammatory reaction, potentially contributing to keloid formation. Additionally, individuals with a predisposition to keloids may be more susceptible to developing them after laser treatments, especially if the laser is used on a previously injured area, like a tattoo. Thermal damage can trigger an inflammatory response, leading to an overproduction of collagen (the main protein in scar tissue), which can result in keloiding. A client with particularly high collagen production could be more vulnerable to this.
