Choosing the correct lens for Laser Tattoo Removal
Which lens should I use?
1064 - MEDIUM STRENGTH - detects dark, cool colours: black, blue, grey, purple, green
532 - STRONG STRENGTH - detects light, warm colours: red, orange, pink AND dark, cool colours: black, blue, grey, purple, green
Lensless - LOW STRENGTH - detects dark, cool colours: black, blue, grey, purple, green
TOP TIP - Using the handle with no lens during an eyebrow removal is extremely successful. It's a lot less powerful than using a lens, so there is next to no downtime. Plus, with no lens attached, no colours in particular are being targeted. Therefore, all ink will break down as opposed to just one colour (cool or warm colours). Please hold the end of the handle about 5cm away from the tissue, as you risk not delivering enough energy into the tissue otherwise.
ALWAYS ASSESS THE REACTION AS YOU GO, IN CASE YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE LENS.
Lensless - typically used at all first-time appointments for eyebrows only (not suitable for lip or body ink removal).
1064 - typically used for all dark body work. It is used on the eyebrows of working lensless is not achieving the level of frosting you would expect.
532 - typically used on lip ink, and when the eyebrow ink is presenting warm, red/orange/pink colours. It is also used on dark body tattoos to remove the last remaining traces of ink, and also on coloured body ink.
